All organisations are becoming more digital and agile – even organisations, like utilities and public services, that are not normally known for their pace and innovation. Everyone is being challenged by:
- enormous changes to policy and politics
- new digital services iterating on a weekly basis
- disruptive innovation in infrastructure, like energy and financial services.
This creates a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform but stakeholders are openly questioning the value of traditional enterprise design activities and artefacts. Enterprise Architects will have to disrupt their own tools and ways of working to stay relevant and keep up. What lessons can we learn about how we need to change to match the scale, pace and uncertainty of these challenges?
